The who’s who of entertainment and fashion world attend this year’s Met Gala 2024 on May 6, i e on first Monday of May every year, the event is held at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, the glamorous event is regarded as the world’s most prestigious fashion night, the annual fundraising event which is also known as Costume Institute Benefit or Costume Institute Gala shortened as Met Gala, is held for the benefit of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute in New York City.
Vogue the leading fashion magazine in the world organizes the Met Gala event annually, it is the beginning of Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition, Anna Wintour, the editor in chief of Vogue is the spearhead of the the much sought after event in the fashion industry.
Met Gala 2024 theme is Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,” and the dress code is “The Garden of Time.” which is English novelist J G Ballard’s 1962 short story, that is the inspiration of the dress code.
The host for the evening are the vogue chief Anna Wintour along with her Singer & Actress Jennifer Lopez, the Thor fame Chris Hemsworth, the Spiderman star Zendaya, and Bad Bunny. TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew. and Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson are Honorary guests at the 6 May gala evening.
As per Vogue, The Costume Institute’s exhibition will put on display around 250 designs by Schiaparelli, Dior, Givenchy, and more, the Met Gala event stream can be watched live on Vogue.com.
