That night, Mack addresses with his aging Uncle Dan, who also doesn’t want to leave the pond. still, Uncle Dan makes Mack rethink his station and he decides to let his family resettle, with Uncle Dan joining them at Gwen’s decree. still, shortly after taking off, they fly into a rainfall and take up sanctum in a swamp underneath a walk, where they encounter an senior great blue heron named Erin, who brings them to her hut to spend the night with herself and her hubby, Harry.
Despite their shocking disposition, Erin proves their good intentions by saving Dax and Gwen from a catfish. The following day, the Mallards arrive in New York City, where Uncle Dan falls before and ends up getting the ducks in trouble with a flock of suckers, led by the disputatious Chump, but Pam’s fiery disposition puts them in Chump’s good graces.
Chump leads them to her friend, Delroy, a Scarlet macaw who’s from Jamaica, but lives boxed by a mortal cook that owns him. Wanting to set Delroy free, Mack and Pam insinuate The Ciguapi, the eatery where the cook works to acquire a key to his pen. After escaping the humans, they manage to get the key and free Delroy, who gratefully guides them to Jamaica.
Dax helps the pekins and his family escape the ranch, but he loses his sect feathers after being stepped on by the cook, rendering him flightless. The catcalls stop to rest at a resort, where Mack scolds Dax for his incautious conduct. The cook finds the catcalls via copter and traps them in a net while Dax and Gwen manage to hide. Outside, the cook plans to kill Mack and Pam first as vengeance, egging Pam to give in to despair, only for Mack to raise her spirits. Using a salsa cotillion they learned at the eatery, they essay to push a button to release the catcalls, but the cook catches them in the act. At this point, Delroy has eventually had enough, and he, Uncle Dan and the pekins hurtle the cook with fruits and vegetables until he’s knocked unconscious, hitting a button that causes the copter to drop him out, getting him caught in the net, as well as Pam and Mack, still wedged in their pen. They’re saved and freed by their kiddies, with Dax having fixed his bodies using some feathers that were lost when the cook abducted the catcalls. Both father and son quietly attune. Now led by Dax, the catcalls arrive in Jamaica, where Delroy reunites with his family and the Mallards catch up with the duck family who visited their pond before. The following spring.
